Chris Brown's legal troubles continue this week, after the LA City Attorney filed two criminal charges against the singer for allegedly refusing to hand over his driver's license number and giving fake insurance information to a motorist he rear-ended in May, according to TMZ.

Brown faces criminal charges for leaving the scene of a crime without exchanging proper information. The 24-year-old is still on probation for felony assault of his former girlfriend and pop star Rihanna and could face up to four years in prison if found guilty in the hit-and-run incident. Brown took to his Twitter account to deny the accusations made by the driver.

"It's not a hit and run if u get out the car, exchange information (who has NO DAMAGE to either cars)," Brown wrote. "This is really ridiculous."

The Grammy award-winning singer also featured a photo of the woman's car he allegedly hit, on his profile picture on Twitter. Brown also claimed he has a valid driver's license and gave the woman accurate insurance information.

"She contacted the cops thinking of a payday from Chris Brown when I followed the proper procedures," Brown also tweeted.

The exchange between the entertainer and the unnamed female accuser was caught on video. In the clip, Brown and his girlfriend Karrueche Tran are seen speaking to a blonde female, who is wearing sunglasses, in what seemed to be an amicable conversation.

The hit-and-run charges against brown come just days after another woman accused Brown of assaulting her in an Orange County nightclub. Deanna Gines claims Brown pushed her to the floor, causing an injury to her knee in the VIP section of the Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim, CA, according to TMZ. Gines said she filed a police report with the Anaheim police department and claimed she has torn ligaments in her knee from the fall and may need surgery.
