Kate Middleton's due date might be only 8 days away!

A new report by London's Telegraph indicated that the pregnant Duchess could give birth 10 days earlier than her reported due date, which is said to be apporoximately July 13-14. Royal observers believe that Middleton is following in the footsteps of Prince William's late mother, Princess Diana who fooled the media by saying that William, 31, was due on her birthday, July 1, bet he arrived 10 days earlier on June 21, 1982.

The Telegraph noted that this could be a sweet late birthday gift for the first-time parents, who just celebrated the Duke of Cambridge's birthday last week.

The baby's arrival date of July 13 - 14 came about, after a close family friend leaked the news to the press.

"Some of Kate and William's closest pals were at a barbecue hosted by a family friend of the royals recently," the source said. "They were all discussing the fact that Kate's baby is due to be born on July 13. Everyone was very excited."

Back in April, Middleton, 31, told reporters in Gladsgow that her due date was in July, but did not give the exact day.

"It's around mid-July but apparently babies have their own agenda," Middleton said.

William is scheduled to take paternity leave once the baby arrives, but sources said that Middleton is worried that he may miss the arrival of the child's birth.

"Kate's worried he might not be around," a source told Now Magazine. "She's feeling self-conscious because it's uncharted territory for both of them."

Although William is said to be spending more time with Middleton at the couple's Kensington home in London, there is a chance he might be called on emergency duty.

"Between now and then he is on and off shift and every attempt will be made to get him there," a source said.
