Taylor Swift Spotted On Hike With Boyfriend Joe Alwyn In Malibu
It looks like Taylor Swift won't be writing her next big breakup song anytime soon. She was spotted out and about with boyfriend Joe Alwyn.
Still Going Strong
The super-private couple hasn't been spotted in public together since December of last year when they attended the Jingle Ball in New York City. This past Tuesday, however, they were captured on a super-romantic hike in Malibu.
According to a source, the young couple appears to be doing better than ever.
"They were deep in conversation for most of the hike and their attention was focused solely on one another. They're clearly serious," the source told E! News.
Swift and Alwyn were also seen holding hands while on their jaunt. The PDA is out of the ordinary for an unusually private coupling for the high-profile singer. Although Swift usually isn't shy about sharing who she's romantically involved with, she's stayed out of the spotlight on this one.
The nearly three-mile hike reportedly lasted about an hour and a half, with the two taking in glorious oceanic views along the way. Although they were said to be enjoying intimate, private time together, the 28-year-old "Gorgeous" singer's bodyguard stayed 20 feet behind them the whole time.
The Right Person
Considering Swift's highly-publicized issues with famous men including Jake Gyllenhaal and Joe Jonas, both of whom she reportedly wrote scathing tracks about, it's nice to see her happy and relaxed. Swift may have finally found the right balance with somebody who isn't always in the limelight.
Alwyn is an up-and-coming British actor whose most high-profile role to date was as the titular character in Ang Lee's Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk. The film, about an ex-soldier with PTSD, also starred Kristen Stewart and was notable for its choice to use a higher frame rate than is typical.
Swift has been seeing Alwyn since early 2017. They coupled up following the singer's split from fellow actor Tom Hiddleston and were spotted sneaking around London to evade the paparazzi.
Swift and Hiddleston had a lengthy, somewhat bizarre, relationship plagued by suggestions of it being purely for publicity purposes. The actor infamously wore an "I Heart T.S." T-shirt in the sea, which was later lampooned in the "Look What You Made Me Do" music video.
Although Alwyn is a fellow actor, his life seems more low key than Hiddleston's, who is a Marvel star. Swift even rented a house in North London to be near her new beau, who was still living at home at the time.
