Rihanna, 'I Fear For My Safety' After Crazed Fan Found On Signer's Roof
Rihanna is reportedly stricken with fear after a deranged fan was caught walking on the roof of the singer's Pacific Palisades home.
The fan, Robert Melanson, 26, was lurking on the roof with a detailed map of the 25-year-old singer's property on June 17. Melanson was charged with suspicion of trespassing and was held it psychiatric custody, but he was released just two days after he was arrested.
A judge ordered Melanson to stay 100 yards clear of Rihanna, her house and her place of business. In legal documents, Rihanna claimed to fear for her safety because Melanson is unstable and has a criminal history, according to TMZ. The reports also stated the performer will attempt to make the restraining order permanent on July 10.
The incident marks the second time this year a crazed fan has been found on or near the premises of Rihanna's home. Back in March, a judge granted the Barbadian singer a permanent restraining order against Steveland Barrow, after he was arrested for breaking into a home owned by one of her neighbors. Barrow apparently believed the house belonged to the Diamonds singer and slept in one of the beds.
The pop princess didn't take the legal route, when a Daily Mail writer accused her of being a bad role model. Rihanna fired back with a scathing response, posting an unfaltering picture of the journalist, Liz Jones, on Instagram with a caption that referred to Jones as a "sad sloppy menopausal mess."
On Monday, Jones worte an article for Daily Mail with the headline, "Pop's poisonous princess: Glorying in drugs, guns and sleaze, Rihanna's toxic role model for her army of young fans." The piece criticized Chris Brown's ex for her edgy persona and use of social media and also features the infamous picture of her battered face after her altercation with Brown in 2009.
