Miley Cyrus and her family found comfort in her fiance Liam Hemsworth and his "incredible sensitivity" ever since her mother filed divorce papers in early June, the Belfast Telegraph reported Wednesday.

The We Can't Stop singer's mother, Tish Cyrus, filed legal papers to end her marriage to Billy Ray Cyrus this month. While Miley deals with the news of her parents separating after 19 years of marriage, Hemsworth has been a solid shoulder for her to cry on recently.

Hemsworth has a close relationship with both Tish and Billy Ray and wants to support Miley without upsetting anyone, the report claimed. The publication cited an alleged source that said, "Liam has also made it clear he will not take sides. He wants to remain friends with both Tish and Billy Ray... This whole thing has brought him closer to Miley too."

Billy Ray and Tish have five children, including 26-year-old Brandi and 24-year-old Trace from Tish's previous relationship, as well as 20-year-old Miley and 19-year-old Braison. The split couple are fighting for custody over their 13-year-old daughter Noah.

Even with the personal devastation, Miley continues to promoter her new music and upcoming album. She appeared Tuesday on Jimmy Kimmel's talk show and Wednesday morning on Good Morning America. She took to the rooftop of the ABC studio in New York City to perform We Can't Stop and Fall Down, two singles off her upcoming 2013 album.

During her morning show interview she confirmed she engagement to Hemsworth is still on, telling the co-hosts, "I'm wearing a ring, so..." Hemsworth proposed with a 3.5 carat Neil Lane diamond ring in June of 2012. The couple met on the set of their 2010 film The Last Song.
