Justin Bieber Supports Patrick Schwarzenegger At ‘Midnight Sun’ Premiere Following Breakup With Selena Gomez
Justin Bieber is turning to his friends at a vulnerable moment in his life. The "Despacito" singer was seen in Los Angeles at an event.
Supporting Schwarzenegger
On Thursday, March 15, Bieber put on a brave face as he joined friend Patrick Schwarzenegger at his premiere for the actor's movie, Midnight Sun. Bieber wore a black long-sleeved shirt that covered his tattoos and a ripped pair of athletic pants. According to E! News, the singer had a message on the back of his shirt that read "Fear of God."
Meanwhile, the son of former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and journalist Maria Shriver looked dapper in a navy suit with a white shirt. Schwarzenegger told Entertainment Tonight how much the elusive Bieber making a rare red carpet appearance meant the world to him.
"He's such a great guy. I'm just really blessed to call him a friend, he's a really great guy...I'm really happy that he came to support me, and I'll support him throughout his life," said Schwarzenegger to the television entertainment news magazine.
Missing Selena
Bieber's rare red carpet appearance comes days following his break with on-again, off-again girlfriend and fellow pop star Selena Gomez. Many Jelena fans initially put the blame on Gomez's mother and 13 Reasons Why co-executive producer, Mandy Teefey, for the couple's latest breakup. However, a report stated that it was Bieber that instigated the disintegration by canceling on birthday plans with the "Wolves" singer. According to Hollywood Life, there is hope for hardcore fans of the music supercouple.
"They've gone back to their low-key, secretive ways of meeting up. The attention became too straining on the relationship," said an insider to Hollywood Life.
Before The Breakup
The "Sorry" singer gave his Beliebers a special gift on Instagram. He unleashed two shirtless photos onto the social media platform and his 98 million followers went ballistic. Many people believed that Bieber was channeling his inner Leonardo DiCaprio as he was trying to make the "Come and Get It" singer remember their Staples Center date, where the two of them watched Titanic together.
In addition, several members of Bieber's fan base believed that the "What Do You Mean" singer cheated on Gomez after liking a provocative photo of a model on Instagram. However, it turned out that the model was YouTube sensation Inanna Sarkis, who is a friend of Bieber's longtime pal, Johnny Shahidi.
Both Bieber and Gomez were very serious in restarting their romantic relationship. The couple got back together after the Hotel Transylvania franchise actress broke off her relationship with The Weeknd. However, several members of their respective camps were startled when the couple got back together.
