Producer Rick Rubin, who worked with Kanye West on his latest release Yeezus, hinted to The Daily Beast on Thursday that the album may have a sequel.

"Initially, he thought there were going to be 16 songs on the album," Rubin said of West. "But that first day, before he even asked me to work on it, I said, 'Maybe this is two albums. Maybe this is just the first half.'"

The comment prompted the question of whether or not there will be another a continuation to Yeezus. To that, Rubin simply responded "Might be." The producer also revealed what it was like working with West on his sixth solo album.

"I don't feel good about this," Rubin recalled of the moment West brought him his unfinished material. "We ended up working probably 15 days, 16 days, long hours, no days off, 15 hours a day. I was panicked the whole time."

The hard work paid off - West's album topped the Billboard charts becoming his sixth No.1 in a row. The record sold 327,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. However, despite opening at No. 1, the album is the lowest first week sales of his career.

Yeezus's debut on the charts is still impressive considering the fact that the rapper didn't do much promotion for the album, according to reports. West didn't release any singles or videos. One reason for this is because of his feelings toward mainstream radio.

"But honestly at this point when I listen to radio, that ain't where I want to be no more. Honestly at this point, I could give a f--- about selling a million records as long as I put out an album for the summer that y'all can rock to for all f---ing summer," the rapper said during his performance at the 2013 Governor's Ball, according to Entertainment Weekly.
