Prince Harry Reportedly Wants To Start A Family 'Pretty Soon' After Marrying Meghan Markle
Prince Harry has been vocal about his interest to have children with the woman he marries. Now the prince cannot wait to start a family of his own soon after his wedding with Meghan Markle.
Family Plans
Royal expert Katie Nicholl claims that Prince Harry is anticipating the moment when he becomes a father for the first time. He cannot wait to have children of his own and is already thinking of starting a family after he weds Markle.
According to Nicholl, her sources are saying that the 33-year-old Prince of Wales is particularly "very keen to start a family pretty soon" after the royal wedding on May 19.
"He's made no secret about wanting children," Nicholl tells ET exclusively.
Nicholl, who penned a new book about the royal called Harry: Life, Loss, and Love, says that perhaps Prince William's growing family might have made Prince Harry think about settling down and have kids of his own. It may have made him think about his future with Markle.
Prince William shares three kids with his wife Kate Middleton, 4-year-old Prince George and 2-year-old Princess Charlotte. The royal couple is also expecting their third child this spring.
"I think that moment [for Harry] really kicked in when his brother, Prince William, of course, settled down with Kate Middleton. That has definitely gotten Prince Harry pretty broody," Nicholl adds.
Love For Children
Fortunately, Markle shares her fiancé's love for children. She is warm and lovely around kids, as witnessed by many during her various royal engagements with Prince Harry in the past months. She is "very maternal" and "very doting with children," according to Nicholl.
It also helps that she has already been welcomed with open arms by Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Nicholl says that the former Suits star has already met the little royals. Prince Harry introduced them after she expressed her desire to meet them. It was not hard for the meeting to happen since Prince Harry's Nottingham Cottage is just a few walks away from where the children live.
Nicholl tells the publication that it was really important for Prince Harry that he be the one to introduce the kids. He wanted to show Markle that even though she marries into the royal family, it does not mean that she cannot have a regular family with cute children.
"The reason he wanted Meghan to meet Prince George and Princess Charlotte was so she could see that -- this would be hopefully replicated by them, that they would go on to have children," Nicholl explains.
