Eminem named his seventh studio album Recovery in 2010 to celebrate his sobriety, and now the rapper discusses his drug abuse in the film How To Make Money Selling Drugs.

"Once I took my first Vicodin, it was like this feeling of 'Ahh.' Like everything was not only mellow, but didn't feel any pain. It just kind of numbed things," Eminem recalled in the film. "I don't know at what point exactly it started to be a problem. I just remember liking it more and more."

He said he would take any pills he was given without even knowing what they were such as Xanax and Valium.

In the film Eminem also mentioned how he felt toward the people who were attempting to point out his addiction to him in the past.

"People tried to tell me that I had a problem. I would say 'Get that f-----g person out of here here. I can't believe they said that s--t to me," he said.

In result of his addiction, the rapper also admitted that he had a near death experience. Eminem said that there was a moment when his organs were shutting down and he was on the verge of dialysis.

"Had I have got to the hospital about two hours later, I would have died," he said. "My bottom was going to be death."

Eminem mentioned that his children were his motivation to become sober. The rapper has one biological daughter named Hailie and two adopted ones named Whitney and Alaina. The 40-year-old also offered his own advice for others who may be going through the same issues he once did.

"I would say to anybody that it does get better. It does," he said.

Other celebrities who are interviewed in the documentary include 50 Cent, Russell Simmons and Rick Ross. The film is directed by Matthew Cooke and is playing in select theaters now.
