Carrie Underwood Set To Make First Public Appearance Since November 2017 Accident
Former American Idol winner Carrie Underwood is ready to make her first public appearance since her tragic fall in November 2017.
Welcome Back, Carrie
Underwood has been announced as a performer for the Country Music Association's CMA Fest. The CMA Fest is one of the most significant events in the country music industry, and according to Celebrity Insider it will take place from June 6 to 10.
The country singer is expected to join Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Keith Urban, and Luke Bryan at this event.
Goodbye Divorce Rumors, Hello 'American Idol'
The "Two Black Cadillacs" singer-songwriter has slowly been making her comeback to the spotlight. Earlier this March, insiders close to Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, shook off divorce rumors and stated that they are fully committed to their family and their 3-year-old son, Isaiah. The insider added that Underwood and Fisher give credit to hard work and faith as significant factors in keeping their marriage alive.
Underwood also made a return to her roots as she made a voiceover cameo on the first episode of ABC's American Idol reboot. She briefly reflected on her American Idol journey as her voice merged with a montage of new hopefuls who all hoped to receive the show's coveted golden ticket to Hollywood from new judges Bryan, Lionel Richie, and Katy Perry.
Focusing On Scars
Underwood has been on a long road to recovery since her November 2017 fall. Sources told Hollywood Life that she was unhappy that the scar did not entirely vanish from her face. Although her doctors have told her that it would take time to heal from her face, the insider stated that the scar is the first thing that she sees when she looks into the mirror.
Returning to Instagram
On Feb. 23, Underwood posted a selfie of her and Fisher promoting the End It Movement organization. While a giant red X covered Underwood's face, fans could notice Fisher sporting a red X on his fist. Weeks before she promoted the non-profit organization, Underwood was spotted on Instagram promoting her clothing brand Calia by Carrie Underwood. A scarf covered her face.
Underwood had to have over 40 to 50 stitches on her face after she fell at her Nashville house on Nov. 10, 2017. After the incident, Underwood forewarned her fans that the next time they would see her, she might look a little different.
