Kim Kardashian Shares Throwback Photo Of Kris Jenner And Caitlyn Jenner And Social Media Goes Wild
Kim Kardashian is known for sharing racy selfies on social media, but this time she broke the internet with a photo that wasn't a nude selfie of herself.
On Friday, March 30, the KKW Beauty founder decided to share a throwback photo of her mother, Kris Jenner, and Caitlyn Jenner, prior to her transition from Bruce Jenner.
In the shot, the matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner clan appears to be nude while she sits in a bathtub full of bubbles and even blows them at Caitlyn, while Caitlyn sits on the side of the tub holding a glass of champagne, wearing a silk robe and matching silk pants.
"TGIF," Kardashian labeled the photo.
Though the photo could have simply been a Flashback Friday post, fans questioned whether the reality star was throwing shade or if she was trying to mend fences between the two. Either way, the picture didn't stop Kardashian's followers from making lewd comments about Caitlyn.
Kris And Bruce
Kris and Caitlyn may not be on the best of terms now but they were married for 23 years before the athlete underwent his transition.
The former couple share two children together, 20-year-old Kylie Jenner and 22-year-old Kendall Jenner. Caitlyn was also the stepfather to Kris's four other children -- Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, and Rob Kardashian.
Their relationship has been documented on several seasons of Keeping Up With the Kardashians along with their decision to separate, which was confirmed in October 2013. Following their separation, they decided to divorce, which was revealed to have been finalized in March 2015.
Caitlyn's Transition
A month after Caitlyn's divorce from Kris was finalized, the latter came out as a transgender woman and stated that she wanted to be called Caitlyn Jenner going forward. During her interview on 20/20, the retired Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete told Diane Sawyer that she always dealt with gender dysphoria.
Caitlyn's transition eventually led her to own spinoff that was called I Am Cait, and she went on to write a book titled The Secrets of My Life, which alleged that Kris knew about her gender crisis. The information caused drama among Caitlyn and the Kardashian clan. It also really took a toll on Kris.
While at a speaking engagement at Cambridge Union in England in November 2017, the 68-year-old claimed that she does not get along with the Kardashians and that she hasn't spoken to Kim in a year.
"They don't want me in their lives, they bashed me pretty badly. It's devastating when your kids do that. It really hurt," Caitlyn said.
