Ryan Reynolds clapped back on rumors that his marriage with Blake Lively is on a rough spot. The actor took the speculations in jest and responded wittily.

Marriage Troubles

If there is one thing that fans can appreciate about the Deadpool star is his ability to take things with a sense of humor. Take for instance a recent tabloid that claims his marriage with Lively is on the rocks. The report asserts he and his wife are "struggling" to spend quality time together because of their busy careers.

The actor's tweet has since received 23,730 retweets and 180,700 likes as of this writing. Fans applauded the actor for handling the fake news with his trademark humor. Reynolds did not take the rumor seriously.

"Handling fake news Better than most," one fan wrote and another one said, "Savage. Love it!"

Reynolds's quip comes after an insider allegedly revealed that the couple has been spending less time together for the past few years because of work. Lively has been spending most of her time at home with their two kids while the Green Lantern star has been busy filming out of town.

The insider added that the distance between them has taken its toll on their marriage and they may be heading for divorce. Ironically, the report also cited another source that debunked the speculations.

There are no marriage problems and the couple is going strong. Reynolds and Lively know how to make their marriage work and know how to entertain each other. In many ways, they share the same sense of humor.

Successful Marriage

Just recently, Reynolds poked fun at his wife's 2005 film Sisterhood of Travelling Pants in the recent trailer for Deadpool 2. He called the movie "pure pornography" (see 2:00 mark). Last year, Reynolds greeted his wife on her birthday by sharing a photo of them together but he cropped out her face.

Lively did the same on her husband's birthday. She shared a photo of the actor with Ryan Gosling and cropped out Reynolds' face.

Last year, the Gossip Girl alum told People the secret to her successful marriage, which contradicts the tabloid's claim that the couple does not spend quality time together.

"My husband and I don't work at the same time, so we all go together as a family. If we're away as a family, it's never more than for a day. We stay together," Lively said.
