Miley Cyrus Liam Hemsworth Engagement Strained by Her Ultra-Sexy Persona? He Reportedly Does Not Approve
Miley Cyrus' sexy persona in her We Can't Stop music video might have been too much for her fiance Liam Hemsworth's taste.
In the music video she twerks while not wearing much clothes and pulls down her clothes in provocative ways to show off more skin, among other racy scenes. A source told HollywoodLife those such scenes and her overall new ultra-sexy image have causes disputes between her and the Hunger Games: Catching Fire actor.
“They’ve had a lot of fights about it,” a source said.
Hemsworth reportedly has not liked watching his fiancee turn into a somewhat highly sexualized celebrity figure and he feels somewhat disrespected by it, the source allegedly suggested. The fact that he is upset about it also makes Cyrus mad.
“Miley doesn’t think Liam has any right to tell her to tone it down,” the source told the website. “He plays different characters for his career and this is the character she’s playing right now for her career.”
The fights have reportedly gotten bad in some instances, disrupting their loving relationship. Cyrus, however, is willing to take some of the heat for the sake of their engagement.
“She has made some adjustments because she wants to keep the peace,” the source added. “It might not look like it, but she toned down a lot of stuff in her ‘We Can’t Stop’ video. It’s a hard line to walk because she’s trying to be respectful to Liam but also be true to herself as an artist.”
Diane Martel, the director of We Can't Stop, recently explained some of the clip's bizarre images. One key moment Martel talked about was the brawl Cyrus gets into in the video.
"That fight scene is awesome. What female artist lets themselves get their ass kicked in their own video?" she said. "This is what I mean about her, Miley is my hero."
