Beyoncé And Jay-Z Celebrate 10th Wedding Anniversary After Cheating Scandal
Hip-hop royalty Beyoncé and Jay-Z are celebrating 10 years of marriage together. Yes! It has really been a decade since the two joined forces and officially said their "I do's."
The Carters Celebrate 10 Years Of Love
Fans of the dynamic duo need no confirmation that April 4 was the day the two tied the knot 10 years ago, because they have continued to remind everyone of the special meaning behind the number 4.
Those that support The Carters are happy to see them celebrating such a monumental moment together because the couple went through a rough patch in 2016, which was addressed on each of their albums Lemonade and 4:44.
It all began in May 2014 when singer Solange Knowles, who is Beyoncé's younger sister, attacked Jay-Z in an elevator on the night of the 2014 Met Gala. The incident was caught on tape, where the "Cranes in the Sky" singer could be seen kicking and hitting the rap mogul as Beyoncé watched. The fight was allegedly over an affair that Jay-Z was having with Rachel Roy, who is the ex-wife of his business partner and best friend, Dame Dash.
The Grammy Award-winning rapper never confirmed whether the affair was with Roy, but he did admit to cheating on the "Hold Up" singer.
On the Footnotes for his latest album 4:44, the 48-year-old claimed that he realized he partied too much and that their marriage wasn't built on the complete truth. However, Hov further explained that he and his wife were able to reconcile because they used their art as a therapy session.
"And that's where we were sitting. And it was uncomfortable. And we had a lot of conversations. You know. [I was] really proud of the music she made and she was really proud of the art I released," the musician remarked.
The Carters Are Happier Than Ever
Now a source close to the two claims that they are doing better than ever.
"The couple worked very hard to get past their issues, and realized they are better together than a part," the source stated.
Fans should be very excited as the power couple has quite the year ahead of them. First up, Beyoncé will headline Coachella on April 14 and April 21. Then in June, the Carters will kick off their second joint tour, On The Run II.
