LeAnn Rimes and Brandi Glanville are now friends. Well, at least that's what a recent Instagram selfie seems to say.
For years, the feud between Rimes and Glanville has been nasty and all over the place, with everything happening before the very own eyes of the public. Every now and then, they would become headliners basically for throwing tirades against each other, but the latest news for the two is something that can be one for the books.
In her latest upload in photo-sharing app Instagram, Glanville posted what was unthinkable, a selfie with none other than Rimes. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star shared a photo of her and the country singer all smiles, both wearing sunnies.
"Peace in #calabasturd hanging for Jakes bday," the 45-year-old reality star captioned the photo.
Jake's Birthday
For those following the Glanville-Rimes squabble, the photo is one of the most unimaginable, never-in-anyone's-wildest-dream scenes that could happen, citing the long fight between the two that stemmed from a 2009 event. Are they ready to put everything in the past? It seemed that yes, at least for the sake of Jake.
Jake, who just turned 11, is the son of Glanville and Eddie Cibrian whose birthday was on April 7. They celebrated the party in Calabasas, California, as hinted in the caption. Rimes was sure she is showing some love for her stepson as she took to her account to share her and Jake's photo.
"I am so blessed to be his stepmom. What joy he brings to the lives of everyone he encounters," the "How Do I Live" singer wrote.
Word War
For those not a fan of the two, or their war for that matter, the bad blood dates back to nine years ago after Glanville caught her then husband, Cibrian, and Rimes having an affair. After almost being married for 10 years, the former model got divorced from the actor.
Cibrian and Glanville share another child, Mason. They agreed to have joint custody, and that said, Rimes automatically became a stepmother. Since then, their words were always either taken out of context or taken as insult by the scrutinizing public.
Glanville was far from being quiet the entire time on the newfound love of his ex-husband, even referring to her as a "c**try music star" in her stint at the Celebrity Big Brother. Last Halloween, she and boyfriend Donald Friese hinted to have thrown a shade on her ex and Rimes when they wore costumes alluding to them, asking in the caption who they wore as with the theme celebrity couple scandal.
