'Wonder If The IRS Took That, Too': RHOP's Gizelle Bryant Wants IRS To Give Karen Huger Back Her Funny Bone
Gizelle Bryant can’t stop throwing shade at Karen Huger’s tax problems. Bryant responded to her diss toward Huger on The Real Housewives of Potomac.
Bryant used yet another joke to poke fun at Huger’s issues with the IRS. She defended showing up to an event on the reality show wearing a shirt that read, “God Bless The Hugers.”
She responded to Huger not thinking the shirts were funny on her blog for Bravo.
“I really can’t understand what happened to Karen’s funny bone,” said Gizelle earlier this week. “I wonder if the IRS took that too.”
She went on to say that while she’s not really laughing at Huger’s misfortune, she went through a lot of effort to make light of the situation.
“I took time to make the t-shirt, I ironed on all the letters – at least give me credit for all my effort!”
Huger and her husband made headlines after it came out that they owed the IRS $1.5 million dollars in back taxes. It was also reported that Huger’s husband’s software business owed the IRS more than $3 million.
While Bryant can’t help but make fun of Huger, Huger made it clear earlier in the season that she doesn’t owe anyone any money. She urged her co-stars to do the research themselves and said she was confident they would find that she’s debt-free, even with the IRS.
Still, Bryant went on to say Huger should be thankful she would even want to wear a shirt that has Huger’s name on it. She pointed out that her well-meaning gesture was nothing compared to the issues their co-stars Robyn Dixon and Ashley Darby have. Gizelle said Darby hit below the belt when she mentioned Dixon and Juan’s ugly past. She said this definitely isn’t the way Darby should go if she really does want to be friends with Dixon.
Things went even more to the left when Monique Samuels joined in and tag teamed against Dixon.
“I feel horrible that I wasn’t with Robyn at this party because Monique and Ashley ATTACKED her,” said Bryant. “It was completely unnecessary…. One thing is for sure, no one can call me a bully or a meal girl again because Ashley and Monique are the winners there.”
The Real Housewives of Potomac airs on Bravo Sundays at 10 p.m. ET.
