Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner baptized their youngest son Samuel over the weekend, while celebrating their eighth wedding anniversary in West Virginia.

Affleck, 40, and Garner, 41, were in the actress' hometown of Charleston for 16-month-old Samuel's baptism, which took place at Christ Church United Methodist Sunday night. The hollywood couple was joined by their daughters, Violet, 7, and Seraphina, 4, along with Garner's parents and her sister, at a morning service where Samuel was baptized.

A parishioner told People magazine that the little boy looked "really cute."

"He was wearing little blue overalls," the parishioner said. "He kept trying to high-five the pastor as he was getting baptized."

As for the little girls, "Violet was very well-behaved, throughout the ceremony while Seraphina was funny... was running around, and Ben had to keep getting up to run after [her]."

Prior to the baptism, Garner and Affleck had some alone time at the local pizza restaurant Pies & Pints on Saturday night.

The restaurant's owner, Rob Lindeman, said the couple likes to dine at the pizza place whenever they're in town.

"They're just really solid people. They seemed like they were having a great time," Lindeman said.

"They were so cute, holding hands and kissing each other. She had her hand on his leg," a diner at the restaurant said.

After dinner, the couple headed to Ellen's Homemade Ice Cream for dessert, where a source said The Town actor tipped the five or six employees generously, at "like $100 each."

Back in February, while accepting his Oscar award for Best Director for the film Argo, he gave an emotional acceptance that included his admiration for Garner for "working on their marriage for 10 Christmases" and the lessons he learned in Hollywood during his lengthy career.
