Robin Thicke released a song on Tuesday called Give It 2 U, his next single from his upcoming album Blurred Lines.

Thicke made headlines for the "rapey" lyrics in his hit song Blurred Lines and has followed up that No. 1 single with, what some deem, an equally inappropriate song.

"I got this for you / a little Thicke for you / A big kiss for you / I got a hit for you / Big d-k for you / Let me give it to you," Thicke croons in the first verse of Give It 2 U.

The track is a dance-heavy club song that has traces of Justin Timberlake's sound on his FutureSex/LoveSounds R&B-dance album. Black Eyed Peas rapper-turned-music producer Will.i.am co-wrote the Dr. Luke-produced song. The song also features a verse by rapper Kendrick Lamar, who brings his own inappropriate lyrics to the song:

"You're like a needle in a haystack
/ I wanna sit you where my face / . . .
Life can't believe a d-k loved /
Now you getting this d-k love."

Reactions from critics have not been entirely positive, with one Vulture writer saying it sounds like "a late-Britney club cover of " D-k in a Box," minus the fancy wrapping." The Huffington Post called the song "incredibly catchy" despite "unfortunate lyrics."

Thicke told DigitalSpy on June 14 that the song is "a big fun dance anthem. It's a blast." He added that most of the Blurred Lines album will consist of "uptempo, fun, feel-good and happy" songs like Give It 2 U. He also said in early June that he wanted to write fun, dance songs for the new album "that reflected that culture."

Blurred Lines is set to be released nationwide on July 30.
