Offset Reportedly Involved In Car Crash In Atlanta
Rapper Offset was involved in a car crash late Wednesday evening in Atlanta. He totaled his car and injured himself in the process.
The Car Didn't Make It
Sources confirmed to TMZ that Offset wrecked his green Dodge Challenger and had to be taken to a hospital afterward to be treated for minor injuries. He's already been released and is expected to make a full recovery.
Although it's unclear whether anyone else was involved, it seems unlikely as the police were not called. No accident report was taken either, but the rapper's destroyed car was towed away after the incident.
Offset's fiancée, fellow rapper Cardi B, reportedly rushed to his side at the hospital upon learning of the incident. She's taking care of him following his release, according to sources close to the couple.
The two got engaged in October of last year. They were linked as early as December 2016 and have collaborated on several tracks since then.
Involved In A Dramatic Relationship
Almost immediately after announcing their engagement, Offset became embroiled in a cheating scandal. Footage emerged online of him lying in bed with another woman.
Cardi B chose to stand by her man, explaining in an interview with Cosmopolitan that she was sick of being judged for the decision.
"It's like everybody is coming down my neck, like, 'Why are you not leaving him? You have low self-esteem.' I don't have low self-esteem. I know I look good, I know I'm rich, I know I'm talented... But I want to work out [things] with my man... This is my life," she explained.
One of the tracks on her hit album, Invasion of Privacy, entitled "Be Careful," which deals with an unfaithful lover, is rumored to be about Offset.
Baby On Board
It was during a performance of the single on Saturday Night Live, wearing a stunning, tight-fitting custom Christian Siriano gown, that Cardi B revealed in spectacular fashion that she was pregnant.
The baby girl is due this July. Cardi B is taking a break from performing due to her growing baby bump, which she says makes it more difficult to move around on stage.
It's the Love and Hip Hop New York alum's first child, but her fiancé's fourth overall. Offset has three kids from previous relationships: Jordan, Kody, and a daughter named Kalea Marie.
Let Them Live
The couple found themselves in a spot of bother after storming the 2018 Met Gala red carpet in full, fabulous regalia.
They are being sued by a so-called autograph hound who was allegedly attacked by their security detail after pestering Cardi B for a signature. The two allegedly both screamed obscenities at the man, identified as Giovanni Arnold, at an after party for the event.
His lawsuit claims that Arnold tried to diffuse the situation, but withstood injuries on his face, neck, back, and more while lying on the ground trying to protect his body.
The complaint alleges that Arnold did not fight back and was set upon by three members of Offset's entourage.
