Kim Kardashian Dishes On Calling Out Tristan Thompson For Blocking Her On Instagram: ‘I Had To Do It’
Kim Kardashian West is setting the record straight about her online feud with Tristan Thompson. The makeup mogul reveals all at an exclusive event.
It Was A Long Time Coming
The reality star was chatting at her KKW Beauty Pop-Up Shop at Westfield Century City, as she hosted an all-access event for 50 lucky fans.
Kardashian West recently took to Instagram to share a video about the NBA star Thompson unblocking her on the site. The footage was shot at her sister Khloe's birthday party and came in the wake of a very public rift between the extended Kardashian-Jenner clan and Thompson.
After cheating allegations came out two days before Khloe gave birth to True, her daughter with Thompson, the famous family distanced themselves from the Cleveland Cavaliers star.
Kardashian West was one of the only family members who publicly commented on the issue and unfollowed Thompson on social media. He blocked her after she described the situation as completely messed up in a TV interview.
Stealing Her Moment
The makeup mogul admitted that the video was spur-of-the-moment, and she did it without warning him first.
"I had to do it, I had to!" she defended herself.
Kardashian West explained the reason behind it too.
"I was like, 'Wait a minute, you have your phone out and this is really awkward 'cause you blocked me,' and, 'What's up? We're all in the same room again, can I get a follow, can I get an unblock at least?' " she joked.
The 37-year-old mother of three also espoused the importance of putting your family first no matter what.
"I was just raised ... that blood is thicker than water and family first, and that's also what keeps us sane ... No matter what we'll support each other, and we know that," she explained.
Keeping It Positive
The KKW Beauty founder was ecstatic over the reaction to her pop up shop, especially as her brand new fragrances are launching there on July 14, followed by the summer makeup collection later in the month.
She may be willing to let bygones be bygones with Thompson, but Khloe's decision to stay with him did not go well with her extended family.
Although things have been civil, with the two settling back into living in California with baby True following a lengthy stint in Cleveland, where Thompson is based, the Kardashians are still doubtful about the future of the relationship.
According to certain sources, Kardashian West and her sisters have been giving Thompson a hard time over the cheating issues, but it's all in good fun. Everybody is being as respectful as possible, at least in public.
