Hailey Baldwin, Justin Bieber Want A 'Smaller' Wedding?
Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin may be two of the richest kids alive but they aren't needlessly extravagant. They're looking to have a small wedding.
Enjoying Being Engaged
Their rush engagement came quicker than anybody expected, but the happy couple is taking their time when it comes to planning the actual nuptials.
Pop star Bieber proposed to his model girlfriend earlier this month during a romantic vacation in the Bahamas after a just a short while of dating. According to a source close to them, they are enjoying being engaged for the time being, and are in no rush to walk down the aisle.
"Justin had been planning to propose to Hailey for a couple weeks before he finally did, and he's relieved that weight has been lifted off his shoulders. Justin and Hailey are enjoying their time as a newly engaged couple," confirmed the insider.
They're not planning a destination wedding either, instead opting to either stay home in the United States or head to Bieber's native Canada. Regardless, it won't be an overly lavish affair.
"They want to have a smaller wedding, with close family and friends, nothing too over the top ... It's still the early stages of planning. Justin and Hailey are trying to enjoy the excitement of engagement before fully diving into wedding planning," advised a source.
Actress Kim Basinger, who was previously married to Baldwin's uncle, Alec, and who is the mother to her cousin, Ireland Baldwin, claims the bride-to-be has already picked her bridal party. Both Ireland and Hailey's sister, Alaia, is reportedly included.
One person angling for an invite to the event is Hills villain Spencer Pratt, who was baptized by Hailey's father, Stephen Baldwin, while the two appeared on reality show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!
Pratt lamented to ET that he wished he had stayed in close contact with his co-star, so he could attend the ceremony.
Plenty To Focus On
Amid the planning of the wedding, Baldwin is working hard to promote her latest magazine cover for Vogue Japan. She shared the stunning image on Instagram, thanking everyone involved.
The model was previously on the cover of Vogue Turkey and Mexico. She also graced numerous Elle and Harper's Bazaar international titles.
Bieber, meanwhile, is focusing on his upcoming court case. The "Sorry" hitmaker's decision to skip his court-ordered deposition on multiple occasions means he won't be able to testify in his own defense at the trial on Aug. 13.
The judge confirmed jurors will be told that the pop star refused to appear. Bieber is ordered to pay his neighbors, whose house he egged back in 2014, $7,500 in sanctions for the missed depositions. He also has to hand over his financial records prior to the beginning of the trial.
The 24-year-old missed one of his scheduled depositions in relation to the egging incident last month to hang out with now-fiancée Baldwin in the Hamptons, where the two were photographed canoodling with each other.
