The Hunger Games: Catching Fire may become an even bigger hit than many expected.

On Wednseday, David Miller, from BRiley & Co., said the movie could possibly gross $900 million, according to Variety. The sequel to The Hunger Games remains the most anticipated movie of 2013, according to Fandango, the movie ticket website.

Fans' eagarness for the release of the movie has also propelled its distribution company's stock to a record high. The stock for Lionsgate Films traded as high as $30.88 earlier on Wednesday.

Variety also points out that the poularity of The Hunger Games book series has also increased tremendously overseas, after the first movie was released in 2012. This may be responsible for the momentum of the film and the reason many beleive the sequel will do even better at the box office.

The first installment of the Hunger Games holds the record for the third-best debut in North American box office history, as reported by CNN. In its opening weekend, The Hunger Games grossed about $155 million. Still, it didn't manage to beat Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 and The Dark Knight, which hold the top spots.

Jennifer Lawrence, who plays Katniss Everdeen, spoke a about the movie in a recent interview with Shine on Media.

"This movie is visually kind of huge and stunning and we dive a little deeper into The Capitol and we are back into Katniss's life as she's trying to kind of piece her life together after the games and the stakes are a lot higher in this movie," she said.

In a February interview with Collider, she also spoke about what it was like to reunite with her co-stars for the sequel.

"It was incredible because it was like going back to high school," she said. "We had a lot of the same crew, and obviously Josh [Hutcherson] and Liam [Hemsworth] were there."

Lawrence also explained that her character, Katniss, is a role that is impossible to get bored of.

Catching Fire hits theaters on November 22. The final installment will be released approximately one year later.
