One Direction unveiled the artwork for their new single Best Song Ever this week.

The band revealed the front cover for the track on Twitter, which features several still shots from their upcoming 3D concert movie This Is Us.

Best Song Ever will feature during the documentary and MTV News reported that the track has already been described as a "memorable modern-pop classic." The song was co-written by Ed Drewett, Wayne Hector, John Ryan and Julian Bunetta. A few seconds of it is used in a trailer for This Is Us released on June 25. Best Song Ever will officially be released on July 22, with a CD release following on Aug. 19.

Parts of the track's lyrics appear on the cover art, telling fans the single is about a girl and the song they danced to together.

"And we danced all night to
the best song ever
We knew every line
Now I can't remember
How it goes but I know
That I won't forget her
'Cos we danced all night to
the best song ever

"I think it went oh, oh, oh
I think it went yeah, yeah
I think it goes..."

After seeing an early edit for the Best Song Ever music video, Simon Cowell gave it rave reviews on Twitter. He posted on Monday, "The new one d video for best song ever is their best video ever, these boys are very very smart."

Best Song Ever is likely to be on 1D's next album. They released Take Me Home in 2012 and are currently on a world tour promoting the album.

This is Us is directed by Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me) and is produced by Cowell, Spurlock, Adam Milano and Ben Winston.
