Taylor Swift 'Red' Music VIDEO Release, Watch Here; Debut Ahead of Fourth of July Performance
Taylor Swift released the music video for her latest hit Red on Tuesday.
"I'm so excited that the new video for Red comes out this evening," she tweeted that day. "Also very excited about all the red, white, & blue happening tomorrow."
The music video, shown below, already hit 2 milllon views at time of publication. The footage is filled with raw images from her concert performances as she travels the U.S. with headliner Ed Sheeran. As part of her Red album tour, they will perform Saturday in Pittsburgh, Penn.
"Losing him was blue like I’d never known/ Missing him was dark grey all alone," Swift sings on the track. "Forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you've never met/ But loving him was red/ Loving him was red."
Red is a single off of Swift's fourth studio album by the same name. The 2012 record includes the songs I Knew You Were Trouble, 22 and State of Grace.
When she kicked off her tour in March, she said fans should "expect the unexpected" when seeing her perform live. She added, "I think I really like the element of surprise and I love incorporating that into my shows."
In a pre-recorded number part of the Macy's Fourth of July Firework Show, Swift performed at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, for fans who would later see it at the fireworks show in New York City. The 23-year-old wore a sparkly suit and had a Victorian-style entourage of jokers and powdered wigs on stage with her as she sang We Are Never Getting Back Together.
