Nicki Minaj made headlines on Friday when she finally decided to join Instagram. She explained on Twitter that she was disappointed with copycats pretending to be her on the social media site.

"I do NOT have Instagram. OnikaM is NOT me," Minaj tweeted. "Guess I have to make a real one to counter attack. I'm sure that's why Instagram won't delete it."

She followed up with her first instagram post: an illustration of a self-portrait that was drawn by a fan. She captioned the photo, "It's Barbie B--ch!"

Minaj has since posted four more photos since the debut of her Instagram account, titled Allpinkbarbiedreamhouse.

On Wednesday, the Queens rapper revealed she is the first female rapper to appear on the cover of Marie Claire fashion magazine when she leaked the cover photo on Twitter.

Minaj, 30, shared two images from her Marie Claire photo shoot on the social media site on Wednesday.

The first image is a picture of Minaj posed on the front of the magazine's August 2013 issue. The Trinidadian beauty is sporting a platinum blonde chin-length bob haircut in front of a red background. She is wearing a black and red plaid sleeveless top embellished with multiples crystal and gold pins. The magazine's cover line reads: "You asked, She Answered. Nicki Minaj on her fans, her feuds & all the American Idol drama."

Minaj shared a second picture, which was an outtake from one of the magazine's inside pages. She is sporting a black Mohawk headdress with black leather perforated mock neck long-sleeve top from rising designer LaQuan Smith, according to TheYBF.

Minja has kept herself busy ever since American Idol season 12 ended in May. A slew of artists have released singles featuring Minaj's guest lyrics. Ciara released the music video for their duet I'm Out, and Mario released Somebody Else. Several rappers, including Busta Rhymes, Wale and Nelly have also released singles featuring Minaj's guest vocals.

Her music and collaborations helped her win the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist honor for the fourth year in a row at the 2013 BET Awards.
