The Real Reason Ellen DeGeneres Snubbed Dakota Johnson's Party -- REVEALED!
No one knows whether Ellen DeGeneres' reason why she brushed off Dakota Johnson's party is reasonable or not.
After the nerve-racking interview between DeGeneres and Johnson, people started to pick up the puzzle pieces and finally found out the reason behind DeGeneres' absence on Johnson's 30th birthday party.
On Oct. 6, people spotted "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" host with Gorge W. Bush watching the Dallas Cowboys' game against the Green Bay Packers in Texas. DeGeneres reportedly received an invitation from Charlotte Jones, daughter of Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, and sat beside the former president.
Since the actress scheduled her party on the very same weekend, people started to claim that DeGeneres chose Bush over the renowned actress, and it infuriated some of her fans since Bush supported anti-LGBTQ policies when he was still in the White House.
DeGeneres chose to defend Bush despite all issues surrounding his name.
"Here's the thing: I'm friends with George Bush. In fact, I'm friends with a lot of people who don't share the same beliefs that I have. We're all different and I think that we've forgotten that we're all different. For instance, I wish people wouldn't wear fur. I don't like it, but I'm friends with people who wear fur and I'm friends with people who are furry, as a matter of fact," DeGeneres explained, showing her care for the former president.
Johnson's Sharp Memory
On Oct. 4, 2019, Johnson held her celebrity-packed 30th birthday at Malibu. Some of her close friends such as Miley Cyrus and Robert Downey Jr. attended the "vacant parking lot" party and danced all night.
The party ended normally just like others, or so fans thought. When the "50 Shades of Grey" star appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," she questioned the host on her own program.
Ellen began the segment by wishing Johnson a belated happy birthday. The interview took an interesting turn when the comedian asked Johnson how the party was since she was not invited. However, Dakota immediately threw a response back, telling her that she, in fact, invited her..
"No, last time I was on the show, last year, you gave me a bunch of **** about not inviting you, but I didn't even know you wanted to be invited," the "Peanut Butter Falcon" actress said, referring to her appearance on the show last time.
The conversation got even more problematic for Ellen as the "blaming game" went on. Johnson blurted out of the blue, saying she does not know if Ellen even liked her.
In return, DeGeneres assured her that she likes her.
"You've been on the show many times and don't I show... like?" the 61-year-old host amusingly said. The conversation went longer and the actress did not give up on proving that her memory was right.
Feeling confident that she invited Ellen, Johnson suggested her to ask her show's producer, Jonathan. DeGeneres' producer immediately confirmed it, and she remembered that she was really out of town at that moment... yes, likely watching American Football with Bush.
