Kate Middleton Due Date Days Away As The Queen Places High-Speed Chopper on Stand-by for Prince William?
With Kate Middleton's due date only days away, The Queen is making sure that her grandson, Prince William does not miss the birth of the baby.
According to The Mirror, The Queen has reportedly placed a 175mph Sikorsky S-76c chopper on stand-by just in case Kate goes into labor while Prince William is working in Wales. The chopper will be ready from his RAF base in Anglesey to take him to London.
"William will want to fly because it avoids any traffic snarl-ups or train delays", a source told the paper. "He's promised Kate he will be there. It just shows how serious he is about being a modern father. "
Enstars reported earlier that Middleton had fears that Prince William would be absent when she gives birth to the couple's first child.
"Kate's worried he might not be around," a source told Now Magazine. "She's feeling self-conscious because it's uncharted territory for both of them."
Sources said getting William to the hospital for the baby's delivery is the family's number one concern.
"It's an exciting and nervous time, but she knows that he'll do everything in his power not to let her down," the source added.
Prince William has apparently promised "move heaven and earth" to be with Middleton the private Lindo wing of St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, west London.
"Between now and then he is on and off shift and every attempt will be made to get him there," the source said.
Meanwhile, relatives of Middleton have predicted that she will have a baby girl.
Lillian Lowers, 72, who is said to be the only known Australian relative of and second cousin of the Duchess predicted that they royal baby will be here soon and will have a normal name.
"I think it is going to happen in the next few days, anywhere between two in the afternoon and just before 12 at night. It is going to be a girl. It will weigh under 5 pounds," Lowers said.
