American Idol´s performance show last night turned out to be what one reviewer called the "best live show this season" after each of the Top 9 contestants sang tunes from their personal music idols.

Judges gave out five standing ovations last night, the most for one episode of the competition show. Those who got them were Heejun Han, DeAndre Brackensick, Phillip Phillips, Joshua Ledet and Elise Testone.

Colton Dixon sang what he called his favorite worship song "Everything" by Lifehouse.

DeAndre performed "Sometimes I Cry" by Eric Benet.

Eliste Testone sang "Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zeppelin.

Heejun Han performed "A Song For You" by Donny Hathaway

Hollie Cavanagh sang "Jesus Take the Wheel" by Carrie Underwood.

Jessica Sanchez shined with a balad version of "Sweet Dreams" by Beyonce.

Joshua Ledet performed "Without You" by Harry Nilsson (Mariah Carey rendition).

Phillip Phillips did "Still Raining" by Jonny Lang.

Skylar Lane sang "Gun Powder and Lead" by Miranda Lambert.
