'Avengers 2' Villain Movie News: Could Vin Diesel Take The Role? PHOTO
Vin Diesel may be edging his way into the Marvel universe.
Last month the actor sparked rumors when he posted on Facebook that he would be taking a meeting with Marvel. However, he cryptically joked that fans probably already know the reason why.
Well, it's safe to say that fans are still unsure as to Diesel's role with the comic book studio. However, Diesel's most recent photo may give a clue or two.
"Marvel meeting today...Only the people in the room can tell you what was discussed," the 45-year-old actor captioned the photo. "P.s. Thanks to Our page, for pushing to make it happen... you know I get tunnel vision with my work... and after that meeting today... wow!"
In the Facebook photo, Diesel stands alongside an old The Avengers comic book cover featuring the Giant Man and Thor. Although Diesel will be working on Fast & Furious 7 for release in 2014, the action film staple may add The Avengers 2 on to his workload.
Many are looking to Diesel for the part of a villain, but which one? Perhaps he could be playing Thanos, which would mean his voice may have been used for last years Avengers film. Other possibilities put forth by Comic Book Resources include Giant Man, who was pictured in the photo, or Vision, since he worked that word into his post.
However, there is always the possibility that the actor will be featured in Guardians of the Galaxy or one of Marvel's developing Phase Three projects such as Ant-Man.
