The Duchess of Cambridge has moved to a new residence as her due date draws closer.

Kate Middleton made the switch from her parent's home in Bucklebury to the grounds of Kensington Palace in London, according to Hollywood Life.

Now staying at Kensington Palace's Nottingham Cottage, the 31-year-old mother-to-be is much closer to St. Mary's Hospital where she plans to welcome her new bundle of joy.

The public's excitement grew yesterday when helicopters flew above the Palace and an ambulance was seen on the grounds. As the British waited in anticipation for the birth of the newest prince or princess, the London Ambulance Service reported that the incident was not at all connected to the royal birth.

"Kensington Palace helicopter and ambulance 'categorically' NOT royal baby... Woman ill and person broke collar bone," the service stated, according to Heat.

However, the Duchess is still far from her husband, Prince William. Currently in North Wales completing time as a rescue helicopter pilot, William is only with the Middleton occasionally, according to Hollywood Life.

"William has been with Kate as much as possible, whenever he is off shift," a source told Hollywood Life. "They've been spending time just the two of them.

Currently, Middleton's mother, Carole Middleton, is still watching over her pregnant daughter.
