A preview of the music video for Lil Wayne' s God Bless Amerika, a track featured on his I Am Not A Human Being II album, was released on Friday.

The full video will be available for to the public later in the day. The New Orleans-native took a trip to his hometown of Hollygrove in June to film the visuals for the controversial single. In the Elf Rivera-directed clip, Weezy wears a "Jesus Saves, I Spend" tank top and Trukfit cap, as the U.S. flag hangs in the background.

The video sparked controversy back in June when cameras captured the Young Money rapper trampling on the flag during the filming of the clip. Wayne said that despite the behind-the-scenes footage, which shows his supposed unpatriotic behavior, the final version of the visuals will feature no such images.

"It was never my intention to desecrate the flag of the United States of America," said Weezy on Facebook back in mid-June. "In the final edit of the video you will see the flag fall to reveal what is behind it but will never see it on the ground."

The song that accompanies the visuals shares a harsh view of life in America from those who live in its most poverty-stricken neighborhoods.

"Damn, military minded, lost it can't find it/ The stars on the flag are never shinin' / Uh, I saw a butterfly in hell today /Will I die or go to jail today?" Wayne raps on the song.

The 30-year-old said the song is dedicated to all the people, like himself, who have experienced life in the country's ghettos.

"I was fortunate from my God giving talents to escape the Hood and see the other beautiful places this country has to offer, but most people who are born in that environment don't get that chance," Wayne said later in his Facebook post. "That's their view of their America. That was Dwayne M Carter from Hollygrove New Orleans view of America. That's who I'm speaking for in this song."
