Cory Monteith Found Dead: Co-Stars React To The 31-Year-Old 'Glee' Star's Passing [VIDEO & Details]
Cory Monteith, who's mostly known for his groundbreaking role as Finn on Fox's hit TV series Glee passed away on Saturday at the age of 31. The late actor was found inside his Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel in downtown Vancouver after failing to check out.
Following the tragic news, some of Monteith's Glee co-stars took to Twitter to voice their sadness and deepest condolences for the young star.
"I have no words! My heart is broken," said Dot-Marie Jones.
"At this time, please send nothing but love and light. This tragic news still doesn't seem real to me. I love you Corey," stated Harry Shum Jr.
"RIP Cory Monteith. You will be loved. Always," Kristin Chenoweth said.
Although co-star and girlfriend Lea Michele has yet to comment, her rep gave the following statement to People.
"We ask that everyone kindly respect Lea's privacy during this devastating time," stated Michele's rep.
A slew of other celebrities also went to the social networking site to pay their respects to Monteith, who most were shocked to see go.
"Cory Monteith, may your spirit be at peace, and may you fly with the angels... Heartbreaking, my prayers are with all of his loved ones," Rihanna said.
"RIP Cory Monteith... Such a nice guy, very down to earth, Incredibly sad....#TooYoungToDie," Mario Lopez said.
Monteith had voluntarily checked himself into a rehab center in March for substance abuse. In late April, he completed the program and checked out. His last public appearance was with Michele on June 8 at the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball. A fan-made Monteith tribute video can be watched below.
