Glee star Cory Monteith died July 13 after he was found unconscious in his Vancouver hotel room and only a day earlier the actor was active on his Twitter account, making jokes and revealing his lunch outing with friends.

The 31-year-old tweeted on Friday, July 12, "what the crap is a Sharknado," perhaps reacting to TV movie about airborne sharks raining down on Los Angeles. The Syfy original movie aired July 11 and the showing of Sharknado set off a media frenzy on Twitter of 5,000 posts a minute, according to ABC News.

To further joke about the film's title, Monteith tweeted, "oh. IT'S A SHARK TORNADO." His Twitter followers appreciated his sense of humor and some of the replies included, "I've missed your awkward tweets!" and "when you find out, please let me know, LOL."

"CORYYYYYYY, HOW ARE YOU? WE MISS YOU A LOT," read another Twitter response from July 12.

On July 11, the actor re-tweeted a post about him going out to lunch with friends at a cafe called East of Main. He was tagged in a photo showing a "great meal with good friends."

Showing concern for his hometown, the Canadian star re-tweeted on July 9 a message about the 70,000 people in Toronto living without electricity.

The last photo Monteith uploaded to the social media website was on July 7. The image was a screenshot of his iPhone, showing him listening to Paris (Aeroplane Remix) by Friendly Fires. He showed his love for the tune in the image's caption, writing, "basically on repeat."

The late actor had over 1.9 million Twitter followers. His Twitter description said he was a "tall, awkward, canadian, actor, drummer, person."

Monteith's autopsy will be conducted on Monday. His girlfriend, Lea Michele, has remained silent on her own Twitter page since news of her beau's death.
