Kate Middleton Due Date Was a Hoax? Reasons Why July 13 May Have Been a False Date
It looks like earlier reports of a July 11-13 due date for Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton may have been erroneous - and for a number of reasons.
1) The royal's mother, Carole Middleton, reportedly told friends that the baby will be a Leo, the fifth sign of the astrological zodiac which begins on July 23. If that is true, then the 31-year-old wife of Prince WIlliam will not give birth at least until next week.
2) If Kate was due to give birth over the weekend, why would her family be far from her on previously scheduled engagements instead of staying close to her in case she goes into labor? Kate's sister, Pippa Middleton, was in Vienna on July 13 for the wedding of Chanel brand ambassador Caroline Sieber and Fritz Von Westenholz. The pregnant duchess' husband and brother-in-law, Prince William and Prince Harry, participated in two polo matches over the weekend. One game was on Kate's due date.
3) Kate recently moved from her Nottingham Cottage home on the grounds of Kensington Palace to live in her parents' mansion. However, her parents live farther from the hospital where she is due to give birth. Her parents reside about 50 miles away from St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London. In comparison, Nottingham Cottage - her two-bedroom home with Prince William - is across town from the hospital. Why would Kate go to live somewhere farther from her hospital if she is allegedly supposed to give birth any day now?
4) In reality, claims of a July 11-13 due date were never verified by Palace officials. The Palace never officially announced the day the child is scheduled to be born. In January, St. James' Palace released a statement confirming Kate's pregnancy and added that the royal couple is "expecting a baby in July." When Kate spoke details of her pregnancy to reporters on April 4 in Scotland and specifically addressed her due date, she joked, "It's around mid-July, but apparently babies have their own agenda."
5) Rounding off the top 5 is Prince Charles' wife/Prince William's step-mother, Camilla. The duchess of Cornwall said on Monday that she is hopeful the baby will arrive by "the end of the week."
