One Direction singer Harry Styles invited himself to Cara Delevingne's 21st birthday celebrations reportedly after he asked the model why he was not invited to her party.

A source told the Daily Star that Styles heard about Delevingne's August party that will be held in Ibiza through mutual friends and the 19-year-old thought he was not invited to the bash because he had done something wrong. Wanting to find out the reason for not being extended an invitation, the source said: "[Harry] texted asking Cara why he wasn't invited because he thought they were still friends. He then cheekily added: 'Can I come?' "

"Naturally she was mortified, and quickly apologized," the source added. "Cara told him she'd only left him out because she thought he'd be too busy on his tour to come anyway. But Harry assured her he can get a private jet to the rave on the 24th, which is two days after her birthday."

The publication added that Styles plans on taking the attention off the model by showing off a new tattoo at the birthday party. The source said: "Harry jokingly told Cara he will unveil a new tattoo that puts her new Made In England stamp to shame. He hinted it may have something to do with James Bond and said it will be his biggest yet."

Delevingne showed off her new foot tattoo on Twitter after getting the ink job by New York artist Bang Bang, according to the report.

Delevingne has made a name for herself as a model by gracing numerous runways and magazine spreads. She is featured in Glamour's August 2013 issue - which coincidentally One Direction is one the cover of - walked in Milan Fashion Week and attended the star-studded, annual MET Gala in May, to name only a few of her appearances.
