Jenny McCarthy 'The View' New Host Is Dating Donnie Wahlberg, Says Source
There is a new couple alert--Jenny McCarthy, who was recently named the new host on Season 17 of The View, is reportedly dating Blue Bloods actor Donnie Wahlberg.
A source confirmed to Us Weekly that the television host is romantically linked to the former member of 1980s boy band New Kids On The Block. The couple allegedly spent the Fourth of July holiday together. According to an insider, Wahlberg and McCarthy are "having a lot of fun."
"They had a blast 4th of July hanging out with a bunch of their friends," the source said.
According to reports, the new couple became acquainted when Wahlberg appeared on VH1's The Jenny McCarthy Show in March. During his guest appearance, McCarthy flirted with Wahlberg immensely, in a segment dedicated to pillow talk.
"Do you talk dirty when you're having sex?" the 40-year-old talk show host asked the 43-year-old singer-turned-actor.
"I do," Wahlberg admitted, to which she replied, "You do?", adding "But you know, some guys do it wrong."
"Yeah, but I don't do it wrong," he said.
Later, McCarthy boldly revealed her interest in the actor on Twitter.
"Thank you for being on the show," McCarthy tweeted after Wahlberg's appearance. "Looking forward to everyone watching us get to first base on TV."
Donnie, the older brother of Ted star Mark Wahlberg, was previously married to Kim Fey for nine years, before they divorced in 2008. They have two children, Xavier Alexander and Elijah Hendrix.
McCarthy was previously married to writer/director John Asher, whom she has an 11-year-old son with, Evan. She dated actor Jim Carrey for five years until they split in 2010. The former Playboy model also dated Chicago Bears player Brian Urlacher for three months in 2012.
Entertainment Weekly reported on July 15 that McCarthy was schedueld to fill one of the open slots on ABC's daytime talk show The View.
The news follows recent reports that Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselback will not return when the show's new season premieres in the fall. Behar and Hasselback are two of the show's original hosts. The blonde beauty will be joining FOX network's Fox & Friends.
Barbara Walters, the show's co-founder and co-host, announced the next season will be her last as a host, however, she will remain with the show as a producer. McCarthy will make her debut when Season 17 premieres on Sept. 9.
