Instagram Video Releases 'Jobs' Trailer and Short Film From David Koechner and Harland Williams VIDEO
Following Instagram's introduction of 15 second videos, Hollywood seems to have co-opted idea.
The Joshua Michael Stern directed bio-pic Jobs took after their innovated minded main character and created a mini-trailer for the upcoming film. While the film hits theaters this August, the bit-sized trailer can be seen be below.
Clocking in at a quarter of a minute, the Ashton Kutcher film has found a quick way to rope in fans via social media. Although the format may be a bit too short when it comes to promoting a feature length film, it is significantly longer than Vine's six-second vignettes.
Despite the quick nature of Instagram's video feature, some actors have taken on the challenge of putting together a short film with the new program. David Koechner (The Office) and Harland Williams (Package Deal) recently pulled togeaher a combination of Instagram videos in order to create "Steady and Shakes."
"We did it just because it was such a funny medium to work in," Williams said, according to the Los Angeles Times. "It creates its own kind of comedic energy."
A culmination of eight hours of work, the film was shot on an iPhone and each clip can be seen on Koechner's Instagram page.
