Demi Lovato 'Made in the USA' Music VIDEO & Lyrics: 'X Factor' Judge Praises Troops
Demi Lovato released her patriotic music video for Made in the U.S.A. on Wednesday.
The cinematic video depicts the story of a young couple who experience love at first sight at a carnival. The couple is played by Aimee Teegarden from Friday Night Lights and Dustin Milligan from the CW's 90210. Milligan is a worker at the carnival where Lovato is also seen performing.
After they spend some romantic time together, the couple is separated when Millilgan's character has to go to war. It's easy to ponder if Milligan's character will survive the dangerous battlefield. At the end of the clip, the lovebirds are reunited.
"I dedicate my video to all of the troops, anyone who has passed away over seas and to this INCREDIBLE country that I'm so thankful 4." Lovato wrote on Twitter.

The video is the first that Lovato has ever helped direct. Working behind the camera is something she's always wanted to do, she said in a behind-the-scenes clip she released on YouTube in June.
"What happened was I came up with the treatment for the video, I saw the shots that I wanted to do and everything. I told my manager and I kind of walked him through it step by step and he said 'Well why don't you just direct it since you know what you want,' " she said.
She also performed Made in the U.S.A. on Good Morning America in June, and explained why she released the single right before Independence Day.
"It's no coincidence that it's being released before Fourth of July," she said. "I know it sounds really cheesy but I'm proud to be an American and I'm really proud of my country and how far we've come."
The song appears on her fourth album Demi, which was released in May. The album peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard charts.
