Rihanna Topless With Grey Hair PHOTOS Debuts New Color
Rihanna received mixed reactions from her fans after she changed her hair color to a surprising shade of grey.
The 25-year-old shared a series of photos of her new hair color on Instagram on July 17 with the grey hue.
Rihanna captioned the first picture, "New color ice grey ish, call it #Brrr" and garnered almost 300,000 likes. The four pictures of her new hair change earned over a combined 1.5 million "likes."
There were some fans, however, that didn't care for Rihanna's new look. One user wrote: "You're always beautiful, boo, but it makes you a little tired, I find. You make me think of Halle Berry in X-Men," while another critiqued, "You look like a old lady jiji. I like black better."
When Rihana captioned her third picture: "Grey is the new black! Blondies, it's quiet for y'all! #brrr," a follower replied, "You're jealous of blondes because you're ugly."
One fan asked the Bajan beauty if her hair is gonna "end up blueish??"
Rihanna was likely asked the question about switching from grey to blue because the trend became popular after Fashion Police host Kelly Osbourne famously switched her locks from grey to lavender within two years. Osbourne first opted for a shade of gray in November, 2011. Initially, she told Us Weekly at the People's Choice Awards in January, 2012 that the change wasn't permanent.
"I'll change it tomorrow!" she said.
Osbourne explained why she chose the color, revealing: "I can't keep bleaching my hair, and I want to grow it so I take breaks in between," she explained." I did it a year ago but it was more of lavender gray, but I went straight gray this time."
She told E! News she always wanted to be young with gray hair, especially before she turns 30.
"To me, I'm 27, I've got three years left, the way I look at it, to have fun with it, because once you're 30, you look like a right idiot walking around with like rainbow, bright color hair and all different things like that. So I think, for me, I'm just having fun with it as much as I can until it's not appropriate anymore."
Osbourne debuted the look not long after Karl Lagerfeld featured models with gray hair in the Fall 2011 ad campaign for Chanel.
