Tamera Mowry Baby, 'I Was 29-Year-Old Virgin' Says 'Tia & Tamera' Star (VIDEO)
Former child star Tamera Mowry has admitted she did not lose her virginity until she was a 29-year-old.
Mowery, 35, made the confession during a recent radio show interview. The Tia & Tamera star joined her co-stars from her new daytime talk show The Real for a guest appearance at New York's Hot 97 FM radio show.
The TV star said she was not married when she lost her virginity and then revealed she regretted the decision so much she decided to stay celibate until she got married.
"I don't know how to explain this. I'm religious, so I waited until I was 29 to lose my virginity," Mowry told Hot 97 FM show host E-Bro. "You may not understand this [but]I did it, then I felt guilty, then I became celibate until I got married," she explained.
The Real host Adrienne Bailon commended her co-host's decision to wait until she was almost 30 years old to lose her virginity. Bailon said she is certain that although Mowry has only been with two men, she can still be super sexy in the bedroom.
"Just because you only had sex with one person doesn't mean you're not a freak and I think that that's a good thing," Bailon said during the radio broadcast. "I think people think that you could only be a freak by doing it with a bunch of people. You can be a freak and just be a freak with one person. That is beautiful and dope."
Mowry married Adam Housley on May 15, 2011, after the couple dated for almost six years. She previously dated Family Guy creator and Ted director Seth MacFarlane.
The couple welcomed their son Aden John Tanner Housley, on Nov. 12, 2012. He was delivered at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, Calif. Aden weighed 9 pounds, 5 ounces and measured 21.5 inches. Both Mowry and Housley are first-time parents.
Mowry is co-hosting a talk show with Tamar Braxton (Braxton Family Values and Tamar & Vince), Bailon (Cheetah Girls), Jeannie Mai (Style Network's How Do I Look) and comedian Loni Love. The show began airing in select markets on FOX on July 15. According to the press release published in RealityTea, The Real is inspired by ABC's The View; it will offer "candid conversations about topics."
