Miley Cyrus: Justin Bieber Needs to Take 'Time Out' of Spotlight Following Public Meltdown, She Says
Miley Cyrus recently revealed that he advised Justin Bieber to take time away from the spotlight following his public meltdown earlier in the year, according to a Sunday report.
The We Can't Stop singer and former Disney star grew up in the limelight just like Bieber, 19, and so she feels sympathetic for him. The 20-year-old said she wants Bieber to move on with his life after videos surfaced in March of him behaving erratically. That month, he was caught on camera trying to attack a paparazzi photographer and also videotaped fainting on stage during a London concert. Bieber was also in the middle of a criminal investigation for battery following a verbal argument that took place outside his home in Calabasas, Calif.
Cyrus told the Sunday People, "I told Justin to take a bit of time out and people aren't so obsessed with you and nit-pick. When you're not around, all they want is your music."
"They want to see what the next thing is. But when your music is out they just want to talk s*** about you," she added. "When you're a worldwide star, everyone sees everything. Lots of people make a video and put it on Instagram, some people might think it's funny but because it's Justin Bieber, it's like really bad."
Cyrus explained that she "always" tells Bieber to "just be cool" and not address the controversy he is involved in because adds fuel to the fire. She ended off saying, "He's still stupid though. But everyone does dumb stuff when they are messed up."
Earlier in July, an Ohio DJ accused Bieber of spitting in his face during a confrontation after the singer thought his pictures were secretly being taken. The incident allegedly took place on July 13 and the DJ, whose name was not revealed, said Bieber approached him and yelled a couple of "choice words" at the him after bouncers told the singer his photos were being taken.
"He called my mom something, called my dad something, called me something ... and spit in my face," the DJ said.
