Selena Gomez 'Slow Down' Music Video on YouTube Reaches Over 1 Million Views in 2 Days [WATCH]
Selena Gomez's music video for her new single Slow Down reached over 1 million views on YouTube following its July 19 official release.
At time of publication the video had 1.4 million views in only two days. The VEVO video begins with the 20-year-old driving through the streets of Paris before dancing in a club and asking to DJ to "slow down" the song. VEVO released the video on Twitter as well, with the message, "SO. FIERCE. Booking tix to Paris ASAP. Who's in?" The hashtag #SlowDownOfficial has since gone viral on the social media website.
"I just want to feel your body right next to me, all night long, baby slow down the song," she sings on the tune. "And when it's coming closer to the end hit rewind, all night long."
Slow Down is featured on Gomez's upcoming album Stars Dance. The record also features Come & Get It, Birthday and Love Will Remember. Gomez embarks on her first solo world tour later in the summer, titled Stars Dance World Tour. Her Instagram page includes photos of her in dance rehearsals and in the studio, showing her dedicated focus to her music.
Gomez turns 21 on Monday. She told InStyle's June 2013 issue that going into the new stage of her life, she would like to eventually give up her music career to focus solely on acting.
"This is a weird transition for me," she said about approaching adulthood. "I want to keep pushing myself so I never feel settled. I don't really know if it's going to end up working. I'm stressed out most of the time."
Gomez stars in the film Getaway with Ethan Hawke, which opens in theaters on Labor Day. The movie is her second this year, following Spring Breakers in March with Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, Rachel Korine and James Franco.
