Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner are considering cancelling their successful reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians after Season 9.

Kardashian and Jenner reportedly want to move on when their contract expires in 2015. An insider told Naughty But Nice Rob that the Kardashian matriarch would rather leave the show on "high note" leaving fans wanting more instead of renegotiating a new contract and watching the series "die a slow death."

The mother-and-daughter team successfully negotiated a $40 million deal with E! for three more seasons of their hit reality show in April, 2012. The contract expires after the E! network films and airs Season 9 of KUTWK and its spinoffs in 2015.

Additionally, members of the Kardashian and Jenner clan are "moving on with their lives" said the source. Kardashian wants to focus on her family while Jenner has big dreams of becoming a Hollywood producer.

"[The Kardashians are] exploring new options and opportunities," the insider said. "Kim wants to be with her daughter and Kanye, while Kris wants to focus on being a talk show host and maybe start producing movies. She's telling everyone that one day she will have an Oscar."

Another insider told the website that the world's most famous Armenian family have become so rich "they never need to work again."

"They want a break from the cameras," the second source explained. "That shouldn't be too surprising. After all, all the great shows eventually end, just look at Friends, Oprah and Seinfield."

TMZ reported on April 24, 2012 that Jenner renewed the contract for E!'s most successful reality TV show franchise for 3 more seasons for $40 million at the time.

The deal is considered the highest paid in reality TV history, TMZ reported. The contract does not include money the family can earn from product endorsements that the Kardashians and Jenners earn separately outside of the show. According to the report, Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Jenner and Bruce Jenner would earn the most and get an equal sum. Rob Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner would earn a lower scale pay. Kourtney's man Scott Disick and their son Mason have a separate deal. Khloe's husband Lamar Odom also has separate deals which includes the spinoff Khloe and Lamar.

The deal reportedly includes KUTWK and the existing spinoffs (Khloe & Lamar, Kourtney & Kim Take New York, Kourtney & Kim Take Miami). If Kim and Kanye West wanted a separate deal they could ask for more money, according to the report.

The deal was finalized before Season 7 of KUWTK aired in 2012. Season 8 is currently airing on E! If the sources are accurate, KUWTK would end with Season 9.
