Kate Middleton and Prince William welcomed a baby boy Monday, but a first name has yet to be announced.

Professional betters have speculated that the baby could possibly be named George or Arthur, as both were names of The Queen's father. For now, the royal baby will be called Baby Cambridge by commoners.

According to reports, the royal baby boy came into the world healthy, weighing 8lbs and 6.oz at 4:24 pm.

Earlier reports indicated that the Duchess of Cambridge was expected to give birth to a baby girl after she reportedly accepted a gift from a well wisher.

Diana Burton, a local, handed Middleton a white teddy bear, which the Duchess accepted with a smile.

"Thank you, I'll take that for my d-" Middleton said before she broke off her comments.

The Buckingham Palace announced last week that Middleton and Prince William's first child will be named His Royal Highness the Prince of Cambridge.

The spokesman noted that if the couple decides to have any other children, the kids will also have the same title.

According to the Daily Mail, The Mayor of Cambridge, Paul Saunders said the royal baby's title is a "great honour" for the historical city.

A notice will be placed at the gates of Buckingham Palace along with a royal declaration signed by the doctors who delivered the baby boy.

The bulletin will include the baby's gender, will be placed on a wood and gold easel that was used to make the official announcement when Princess Diana gave birth to Prince William in 1982, HollywoodLife.com noted.

Clarence House, the royal home of London broke the news of the baby boy via Twitter.
