The ABC medical drama Grey's Anatomy is currently filming its 10th season, but one of the show's stars - and even creator - took time to tweet about Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton's delivery.

When news broke early Monday morning that Middleton was rushed to a London hospital to give birth, Grey's Anatomy series creator Shonda Rhimes tweeted, "Somewhere in London, a princess is pooping on a delivery table. Just keeping it real, folks. #royalbaby #goodluckKate."

An hour or so before Middleton delivered a baby boy, actress Camilla Luddington tweeted her thought's on the baby's gender. She said she was on "RoyalBabyWatch" and wrote, "Girl or Boy what do you think??" I think it's a girl?!"

Luddington, who plays Alex Karev's love interest Jo Wilson on the series, was born and raised in Ascot, Berkshire, in England. She plays a medical intern now but she rose to TV prominence for playing Middleton in the Lifetime TV movie William & Kate, which premiered in April 2011.

After Luddington found out the royal baby's gender, she jokingly tweeted, "What if they name if Joffrey??!!!" a reference to a Game of Thrones character by the same name: Joffrey Baratheon. Luddington admitted in previous tweets that she is a fan of the show.

The cast of Grey's Anatomy over the weekend celebrated the birthdays of actress Sandra Oh (Cristina Yang) and the show's co-producer Karin Gleason. Kevin McKidd, who plays Owen Wilson on the show, uploaded onto Twitter a photo of a birthday cake with the caption, "Happy birthday my partner in crime , Sandra and my other partner in crime @karingleason !"
