Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift Top Forbes Magazine's Top-Earning Celebrities Under 30
Forbes magazine revealed their Top-Earning Celebs Under 30 list on Monday. Seven singers and three actors appeared on the top 10 list.
"We talked to agents, managers, producers, executives and other in-the-know folks to come up with our estimates, which include all entertainment-related income," writer Pomerantz said.
Taking the number one spot is Lady Gaga, who earned a reported $80 million from June 2012 to June 2013. The Hair singer also was the second-highest paid celebrity under the Celebrity Top 100 list. After announcing the rest of the Born This Way Ball was cancelled in February, Live Nation refunded a total of $25 million in ticket sales. And she still ranked number one.
Coming in second place is Justin Bieber with a reported $58 million. A large amount of profit the 19-year-old singer received was from his U.S. Believe tour, which was sold out in one hour.
Right behind the Biebs is his close friend, Taylor Swift, who earned $55 million in the last year. After her fourth album, Red, was released, the 23-year-old singer, sold 1.2 million copies the first week. She also had various endorsements in 2012 with brands including Diet Coke and Covergirl, and launched her second perfume, Wonderstruck Enchanted.
After Swift, Calvin Harris took the 4th spot with $46 million. In February, the Scottish DJ signed on to perform at more than 70 shows in Las Vegas. It also helps that he sings alongside some of pop's biggest stars including Ne-Yo (Let's Go) and Rihanna (We Found Love). He even earned $3 million more than Rihanna, since she followed with $43 million estimated earnings.
After Rihanna, Katy Perry holds the sixth spot with $39 million. Jennifer Lawrence, the first actress on the list, earned $26 million. The Hunger Games brought in most of that profit from the $691 million it made in ticket sales. Singer Adele made the number eight spot with $25 million. Finally, Twilight stars Kristen Stewart tied in ninth and tenth place with $22 million.
