Miley Cyrus admitted to singing about drugs in her single We Can't Stop while slamming the United Kingdom for heavily editing the music video for its rauncy scenes.

The 20-year-old said fans will interpret the song's lyrics in different ways depending on how old they are.

"If you're aged 10 [the lyric is] Miley," the singer explained in an interview with the Daily Mail. "If you know what I'm talking about, then you know."

Cyrus sparked controversy over apparently singing the lyrics "We like to party/dancing with molly" in the track, which was released in June. "Molly" is known to be a slang term for MDMA, or ecstasy. Shortly after the video's release, the producer clarified that the lyric was "dancing with Miley." However, Cyrus said in her recent interview that she did in fact refer to drugs.

"I don't think people have a hard time understanding that I've grown up," she admitted in the interview. "You can Google me and you know what I'm up to - you know what the lyric is saying."

Cyrus also explained why she is upset over the edits to the U.K. version of her video.

"I just think the world is so lame because you can shoot people in a movie and you can let people like [George] Zimmerman off on trial, but you can't have someone going like this [Cyrus stimulates oral sex gesture]," she said. "That is so dumb to me. The last thing people need to worry about is my cute little video for We Can't Stop, you know what I mean?"

The U.K. version of her video also has a large X superimposed over Cyrus' mouth at one point when she does a gesture pertaining to oral sex. She said "they took out literally everything" and added that MTV in the U.K sent around 18 notes asking for changes to the video.

"But Britney or Madonna never played it safe, none of the best pop artists ever did. I feel like I live in a different world, I live in LA, I see everything."
