Selena Gomez abruptly ended a video interview she recently did because the reporter asked her a question about her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber.

The 21-year-old called in for a satellite interview with Chicago's WGN Entertainment critic and reporter Dean Richards. The Birthday singer hoped to promote her Stars Dance world tour, which kicks off in August, but Richards got perhaps too personal with the questions. A video of the interview shows Gomez on a TV screen as Richards stands by and asks her about her ex-boyfriend and his reckless habits.

"You're, you know, probably as close a friend to Justin Bieber as they come," Richards said. "Is there something about him that we don't get or we don't understand? I mean, there is one story after another of, you know, pretty outrageous behaviour that we're reading about."

In the midst of Richards asking the question, Gomez looked down and then off camera to people standing by her before she broke out a smile. The interview then get cuts short and Gomez's image on the TV screen is replaced with text about her world tour.

Gomez embarks on her first solo world tour on Aug. 14 in Vancouver, Calif. Watch the video below to see Gomez cut her the interview short.

Gomez and Bieber began dating in 2011 but broke up shortly after New Year's Eve of this year. Following their split, Justin Bieber set a list of demands for a photo shoot he did and one included no music by his ex-girlfriend while he is on set. TMZ obtained the alleged set of rules, published on June 28, from a photo shoot conducted earlier in in the month. In addition to other rules, the list also stated "No Selena Music on set," a direct reference to Gomez.
