'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' & 'Dont Be Tardy' Star Kim Zolciak Pregnant & Husband Adopts Daughters
Kim Zolciak's husband, Kroy Biermann, revealed in an interview why he decided to adopt her two daughters from a previous relationship.
Zolciak and Biermann spoke with E! News about their careers and family life. When the NFL player was asked why he chose to adopt her two daughters--Brielle, 16, Ariana, 12--he said he it was all abut "prioritizing and understanding."
"Our careers are our priorities, our kids, our health, our happiness," Biermann explained..
He said prior to meeting to meeting Zolciak--which played out in a previous season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta-- he lived a boring, routine life. Afterwards, spending time with the reality star and her daughters became his top priority so he wanted to make it official.
"I'd wake up, eat breakfast, go to work, come home...it was pretty normal," the Atlanta Falcons player said. "Now, my house isn't going to be as clean as it was before, but it's not important."

Zolciak revealed her husband adopted her two daughters on Twitter during the airing of the season finale of her Bravo spinoff show Don't Be Tardy. During the episode, she learned she is pregnant with her fifth child. She made the discovery after she took a pregnancy test in their shared home. The episode aired on June 25.
After the finale ended, Zolciak tweeted that her daughters were officially adopted by Biermann.
"Am I not the luckiest girl in the world!!!!!!??? My girls @BrielleZolciak @arianazolciak are officially adopted by Kroy!!!!" Zolciak wrote on Twitter.
Biermann, himself, followed up with a tweet that expressed his joy about legally adopting Zolciak's daughters: "One of the happiest days of my life was the day that @BrielleZolciak @arianazolciak legally became mine!! I love you girls!!"
Zolciak's older daughter Brielle also shared her excitement about Biermann legally becoming her father on Twitter. She wrote about the Falcons defensive end, "i have tha best dad ever @biermann71."
Zolciak shared the news with her fans less than a year after she gave birth to her fourth child, Kash Kade Biermann, on Aug. 15, 2012. Fourteen months prior, she welcomed her first son, Kroy Jagger Biermann, on May 30, 2011. The couple wed in November of 2011.
