Maroon 5, Christina Aguilera, Paula Abdul & More Chart on Billboard All-Time Singles LIST [VIDEOS]
Billboard announced No. 70-61 on their list of the Top 100 Songs of All Time on Thursday, using the Billboard Hot 100 chart as the basis.
After publishing No. 100-91 Monday, No. 90-81 Tuesday and No. 80-71, the music charting company announced the songs that charted No. 70-61 since the Hot 100 began in 1958.
Maroon 5 & Christina Aguilera came in at No. 68 with their smash hit single Moves Like Jagger. Aguilera and fellow The Voice coach Adam Levine, came together to record this song in 2011. The song stayed at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for four weeks.
Former American Idol judge Paula Abdul came in at No. 70 for her hit Rush Rush. The song peaked at No. 1 and stayed there for five weeks in 1991. Billboard reported that Abdul was adamant about releasing the song, alIegedly saying, "I don't care what songs make it onto the album, I want Rush Rush to be the first single."
R&B singers Brandy and Monica came in at No. 63 with their collaborative single The Boy Is Mine. The 1998 song, which involved two women fighting over the same man, spent 13 weeks at No. 1 and became the first No. 1 single for both artists.
Numerous '80s songs charted on the list, including Centerfold by J. Geils Band (No. 61), I Love Rock 'n Roll by Joan Jett & the Blackhearts (No. 65) and Ebony and Ivory by Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder (No. 69).
Other classic songs to appear on this grouping included Whoomp (There It Is) by Tag Team (No. 66) and Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In by The 5th Dimension (No. 65).
